CD 11 follie check and trigger!
November 16th, 2007 by ariana
I woke up at 5am. Yes, 5am and was out the door by 5:45 on my way to RMA’s Madison Avenue office. Its a good thing I was on my way so early because, as the news radio reminded me at least 30 times, it was the first “gridlock alert” day of the Holiday season. Just my luck.
I got to RMA just before 7am but damned if you can park in midtown during the week! There is tons of street parking, but only for commercial vehicles. And there are hardly any lots in that area (this is Madison and 59th, think Searle, Prada, Coach, etc) so I was just relieved when I found one close to the office that I didn’t even think about the price.
Up at RMA I didn’t have to wait long at all. My right ovary had 4 follies at 15,17,19 and 20 respectively. My left ovary had one around 14 and one at 15. With E2 at 741 I was ready to trigger. Funny, same exact days as last month, trigger on CD11 and IUI on CD13.
I found out that I had to be back in NYC Sunday with Jeff’s “sample” no later than 9am. This means I have to leave the house at 8am which means that poor Jeff has to do his thing pretty damn early which is NOT easy for him. He’s more of an evening sort of guy.
My co-pay for an ultrasound and b/w at one New Yorks top fertility clinics on Madison avenue? $15.
Parking for 45 minutes? $32 plus tip.

Hi, I followed a link from the Prop Insanity email, intending to check out the wall guides, but find myself reading about your baby making journey instead!
Small world; the office that you went to on Madison ave is where I’m going (different doctor though). I’ll find out tomorrow if I can get my first IUI done on Tuesday or not.
Did you end up switching to a different RE? There is something that I am wondering if I should get a second opinion about, so if you have someone else in Manhattan to recommend, please let me know!
Thank you and congrats on having a beautiful baby.
Wow, that’s a very good deal! Thanks for that info. I used to work on 59th between park and lex.. its surreal to be back in that area for such a “different” reason.
Are you seeing an RE yet? If so, which one? I’m switching to Columbia either next month or January, but if we need to do IVF I’m thinking NYU.
Hi Ariana
I work right near RMA. There’s a parking garage on 58th bet. 5th and 6th that gives a huge discount if you’re there before 10AM-$20 bucks for the day if memory serves which is a bargain in that area. ; ) I don’t recall the name off the top of my head, but it’s the only one on that block. It’ll save you a few bucks if you have to go back to the Manhattan office : )
I can’t wait to hear about the rest of your progress. I’m a couple of steps behind you, so it’s a huge help to read about what’s to come!
