It’s Official, Jasper is a Baby Genius!

Normally I’m fairly tongue in cheek when I proclaim Jasper is brilliant or advanced – (well aware that each child is the second coming in their mommy’s eyes!) but this COMPLETELY floored me:

Neither of us ever taught him or showed him how to use a twist top, so when he did it once I RAN to get the video camera, quite sure it was a one time fluke I’d never catch on tape. But then he did it about 4 or 5 times in a row!

Isn’t it just the best thing in the world to watch these little scientists make their discoveries?

  1. What a Mr. SmartyPants!!

  2. Oh my goodness! That is so awesome :) At least you reserve your amazement for the tasks that require fine motor skills, lol. I nearly fell over with applause when my almost 9 month old clapped, ha ha ha.

    Jasper is precious :)

  3. LOL, well I can’t say I reserve my amazement, I just don’t gush about it here all the time :)

  4. Very precious. My 1 year old just showe us he knows that plugs go into the outlets. ♥

  5. Wow. Just Wow. Good work Jasper!

  6. uhm… hello – can we call Harvard.. NOW!!!
seriously – he is so bright, love this!

  7. Go Jasper!!! Noah just did that this morning too…except it was with his sippy cup which led to milk all over the floor. I almost didn’t mind the mess because I was so amazed that he knew how to unscrew the top. They pick up so much just by watching even when you don’t think they’re paying any attention.

  8. What a cutie! He’s so sweet… and so smart!

  9. Classic! I love the moment of frustration when he couldn’t make it go on the way he knew it should! He is precious!!

  10. LOL Kate, yes, we hear that frustrated whine A LOT.. my favorite part is that he actually thought that he needed to “lube” it with drool. He did the same thing each time!

  11. awesome!

  12. My favorite thing to watch is his eyebrows!! He is just too cute and so smart!! Nurture that and who knows what he’ll end up being when he grows up!

  13. Oh my gosh, that really IS amazing!

  14. Wow — impressive finger work! Future musician? Sculptor? Engineer?

  15. I giggled each of the 3 times I watched this. It was just too cute. His little noise that he’s making when he’s frustrated is cute too. Its funny that he thought he had to “lube” it with drool. lol What a bright lil guy you have! :) Precious!
