Have You Seen this Hat?

Thank you all for casting your votes on the invite choices. As I indicated in a comment, I decided to go with #1 once I saw what Lindsay pointed out: The curly cues in the font mimic the monkey’s tail perfectly!

I made some minor adjustments like putting a stroke on the Time to Go Bananas line so you could read it better etc. Here’s the final version:

So I finished this at about 9pm and was placing my order with WHCC and realized that what I really needed was their press printed greeting cards on cardstock, not their photographic cards which would be thin like a photo. They are more expensive, but still very reasonable (25 for $19 with envelopes). But what I hadn’t realized is that they come with printing on the front AND the back!

So I could have just done it blank, but that would have been such a waste. So I threw this together at the last second:

If I had more time I would have made it vaguely go with the front, but I was burnt out at that point!

Anyway, on to the topic of today’s post..

When Jasper was little, there was a girl on my Success after Infertility Message board (hi Rachel!) who had the most adorable picture of her baby boy Brighton in a cowboy hat. I LOVED that picture and I searched high and low for a soft baby cowboy hat – including stalking ebay for months but I never found one. Until yesterday at Babies R Us.

The problem is that they don’t have Jasper’s size! I don’t know if they even MAKE it in 1 year old size. I got the 3-9 month one because I figure it will be a cute prop to photograph other little boys in, but I really really want one that fits Jasper so I can TRY to get a photo of him in it before he pulls it off his head!

Can you do me a big favor? Next time you are in BRU, can you see if they have this hat in a larger size and let me know? And if anyone is willing to buy and send me one I will be forever grateful.. I’ll paypal you the money for the hat and shipping of course!

I just wanted to suggest that you really look around during Halloween. I got a similar cowboy hat for my son last year from Gymboree. It was on sale for $12 I think and they had them in all sizes at the time. I could email you a picture if you’d like.
